TRANSPARENCY / OUR METHOD

One tool.
Human responsibility.

h3x actively uses artificial intelligence in developing the publishing house. Here we explain where the technology enters the process, who makes the decisions and who is responsible for what we publish.

Artificial intelligence enables a small, independent publishing house to explore ideas and build tools that would otherwise require far greater resources. Transparency about our process is part of the method – not a footnote.

Editorial work is not automatic work.

Editorial work.

AI is used for proofreading, language editing, structure, analysis, organisation and the general refinement of manuscripts and works. The technology can suggest, compare and reveal patterns. The author and publishing house evaluate the suggestions and decide what remains.

Technical development.

The web app – both the public facade and the private Room – was developed with AI-assisted programming. h3x defines its needs, functions, design and priorities, tests the solutions and approves what enters production.

Organisation.

AI helps organise manuscripts, catalogues, metadata and connections between works. The structure is editorially chosen and developed by h3x; the tool helps us make the material searchable, coherent and accessible.

Art direction.

Generative AI is used for illustrations and concept work, including the fictional character Marg. h3x develops the concept, determines direction, expression and style, selects and refines the results and decides how they form part of the whole.
